Job Title: Quality Manager

Locations: Devon

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality concerns, ensuring their requirements are understood and met.
  • Assist with complaint resolution and identify root causes to implement corrective actions.
  • Provide quality support to the Supply Chain Management team by collecting and analysing supplier quality data.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to meet product and process quality standards.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems across the organisation.
  • Offer leadership and support in launching new products, processes, and services.
  • Participate in and potentially lead internal Quality Systems audits, ensuring compliance with customer requirements for new or modified products and processes.
  • Analyse quality metrics and conduct management reviews to assess performance, recommending action plans to close any operational gaps.
  • Develop and establish a robust quality structure to support strategic business plans and initiatives.
  • Design and deliver quality assurance training programs, covering various quality-related topics.
  • Support product development and launch activities, ensuring customer expectations are identified and met through manufacturing and testing processes, reliability analysis, design reviews, and material testing.
  • Lead improvement teams to evaluate process capability, create process control plans, address out-of-control conditions, and conduct process audits.
  • Ensure the creation and auditing of complex inspection and test plans, standards, acceptance criteria, and work instructions.
  • Assess the performance of the quality team to support performance management, promotions, transfers, dismissals, and commendations.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to compile and present consolidated updates on plant, customer, and product status, including action plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in a Quality Management role within the Aerospace/ Industrial / Automotive industry
  • Knowledge and certification in CAA or EASA Part 21 Sub Part G is required.
  • Expertise in quality assurance, continuous improvement methods, strategic management and project management.
  • Experience in applying Quality tools, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Management as well as excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
