Finance Manager

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Handle VAT and CIS Returns.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts including journals, accruals, and pre-payments.
  • Conduct overhead analysis and manage cash-flow.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation.
  • Process payments to suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations.
  • Manage CITB levy returns, directors' loan accounts, and pension management.
  • Oversee payroll processes.
  • Support the Managing Director with ad-hoc financial projects.
  • Manage and support an existing Accounts Assistant.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in day-to-day construction accounts management.
  • Familiarity with the CIS Scheme and HMRC compliance.
  • Proficiency in Sage and/or Xero accounting packages.
  • AAT qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Can-do attitude, friendly, approachable, respectful, trustworthy, and able to multitask.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
