This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable manufacturing business in South Shields. Our client is seeking a Sales Account Manager to become an integral part of their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, fostering and maintaining strong relationships, addressing customer inquiries, and cross-selling a variety of products to both new and existing clients to achieve long term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the portfolio of sales accounts to achieve long term business aims.
  • Management of top spend customers within the brand portfolio. 
  • Develop positive relationships by offering great customer service to each account.
  • Generate new business using existing accounts and leads from marketing activity.
  • Resolve customer queries in a timely manner by engaging the full team.
  • Report on the status of accounts and sales activity.
  • Monitor agreed sales metrics to spot trends and influence future activity.
  • Provide ideas to improve commercial and overall company performance.
  • Contribute to growth of the commercial team and the business as a whole.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an electrical or manufacturing sales role would be an advantage, but not a necessity.
  • Hands on experience delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Sage Accounts.
  • BA degree in Business, Marketing or other relevant field desirable.
