£350-£450 per week - Pre AWR (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

This Secondary SEMH Provision, based in South Tyneside is looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Assistant to work with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils on a full-time basis. Working in this SEMH Alternative Provision as part of an established team, the desired Learning Support Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviour supporting during lessons and around school. This full time Learning Support Assistant role is long term from February ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

The desired Learning Support Assistant will have;

  • - Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children
  • - Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • - A passion for the progress of secondary school pupils
  • - An ability to work as part of a team
