Day-to-day of the role:
  • Respond to the identified needs of children and young people as outlined in individual care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with young people, their families, social workers, and other relevant agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, procedural, and good practice requirements.
  • Prioritise the safety and welfare of young people.
  • Participate in the implementation, monitoring, and review of care, health, and education plans.
  • Act as a key worker to individual young people as required.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare and rights of children and young people.
  • Maintain a comfortable physical environment in line with standards and guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and professionals.
  • Undertake administrative tasks and record-keeping.
  • Contribute to the development of positive community links and service development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of UK experience in residential childcare.
  • Full UK License and own transport.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (for children/young people) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Maths & English.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Good communication skills.
