Building Fabric Technician - Handy person

Southall, UB2 4SE.

Tuesday - Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm

Part Time : 24 hours, 3 days per week.

Initially a 12 week contract this may lead to further work.

The company is a UK leading engineering organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the commercial and industrial sectors. The huge range of engineering work carried out by the company includes complete power and lighting installations, process pipework projects along with commercial planned and preventive maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a building fabric technician to join the company supporting a major facilities management contract in Southall, UB2 4SE.

Duties

As a suitably experienced building fabric technician - handy person with a construction industry background, you will be working on site at a major food production facility in Southall, UB2 4SE. With responsibility to assist with the decommissioning of the site, typical duties will include removing rubbish to skips, taking furniture apart and removing to another part of the building, taking up floor tiles and relocating the stores department, specifically loading components into a van and delivering to the new stores in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Other duties will include cleaning the kitchen area and toilets, basic carpentry and painting.

About You

Based ideally in Southall, you will need to live within a short commutable distance of UB2 4SE. No travel time or travel expenses will be paid with this role.

Demonstrable experience of building maintenance along with a strong general construction background is essential for this position.

Full UK driving license is essential as you will be required to collect materials and move parts between sites. The company will provide a pool vehicle for the delivery duties.

UK Driving licence with no more than 3 points is essential for this job.

CSCS is preferred but not essential.
