- Position: Interim Financial Controller
- Location: Southampton, Hampshire
- Rate: £450 - 550 Inside IR35
- Duration: May 2025
- Lead financial reporting, audit preparation, and annual budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both UK and US reporting standards.
- Oversee accounts payable (AP) operations, addressing system inefficiencies and streamlining processes to prevent backlogs.
- Independently manage critical financial tasks, ensuring timely and precise delivery of all accounting functions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and optimise operational efficiency, aligning with the standards of a US-listed parent company.
- Produce clear, insightful financial reports and analyses to support senior management in decision-making.
- Provide robust support to the finance team during peak periods, covering for absences and managing concurrent projects.
- Extensive experience as a Financial Controller or Management Accountant in medium to large businesses, ideally within a subsidiary of a publicly listed company.
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and accounts payable systems.
- Solid background in audits, budgeting, and monthly financial reporting, with the ability to adapt to both UK GAAP and US GAAP requirements.
- Highly adaptable, analytical, and capable of managing multiple high-priority tasks independently.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills, able to present financial insights clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders.
