They are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to join their team and provide essential support during a period of growth and transformation.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Financial Controller who can bring expertise in financial management, reporting, and systems optimisation to a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial stability, supporting senior leadership, and driving improvements across finance processes. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial reporting, audit preparation, and annual budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both UK and US reporting standards.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) operations, addressing system inefficiencies and streamlining processes to prevent backlogs.
  • Independently manage critical financial tasks, ensuring timely and precise delivery of all accounting functions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and optimise operational efficiency, aligning with the standards of a US-listed parent company.
  • Produce clear, insightful financial reports and analyses to support senior management in decision-making.
  • Provide robust support to the finance team during peak periods, covering for absences and managing concurrent projects.
What We're Looking For:
  • Extensive experience as a Financial Controller or Management Accountant in medium to large businesses, ideally within a subsidiary of a publicly listed company.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems and accounts payable systems.
  • Solid background in audits, budgeting, and monthly financial reporting, with the ability to adapt to both UK GAAP and US GAAP requirements.
  • Highly adaptable, analytical, and capable of managing multiple high-priority tasks independently.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present financial insights clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders.
