Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a growing services business, based in Southampton, in their search for a Financial Accountant on a 6 month fixed-term contract basis.£30-40,000 p/aHybrid workingKey Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for designated balance sheet GL reconciliations ensuring timely and accurate GL reconciliations in line with group policies
- Identifying on and resolving outstanding legacy balances across debtors, creditors and bank
- Preparing and posting journals to reflect the correct account balances and remedy historical differences
- Proactively working with Financial Operations and Group Financial Control to resolve issues, aged GL items and variances
- Work with business stakeholders and finance on systems and process improvement initiatives
- Part Qualified Accountant or Studying
- 3+ years' experience of working in finance
- Strong analytical skills coupled with a good business understanding leading to key business insight
- Team player and creative problem solver with a can-do attitude
