  • Lead the submission of Corporation Tax computations, VAT returns, and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) returns to HMRC, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Ensure tax disclosures in year-end accounts are prepared in accordance with current laws and accounting standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with HMRC, managing the day-to-day relationship through written and face-to-face communication.
  • Oversee the implementation of robust controls and documentation for tax-related matters, ensuring Senior Accounting Officer compliance.

Suitable Candidate for the Senior Tax Accountant vacancy:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels, internally and externally, including with HMRC.
  • A solid understanding of Corporation Tax (CT), VAT, and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT), with a good grasp of the commercial landscape.
  • Analytical mindset, able to evaluate and interpret complex financial data, and identify inconsistencies where they arise.
