Your Company:NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful business services company located in the Greater Southampton area to assist them in their search for an experienced Interim Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team for a 3-month contract. Over the last decade this  business has expanded their presence and brand, through high-growth activities, and acquired a presence across many sites around the UK.Even as a short term appointment, this role will prove to be a dynamic and interesting finance opportunity, to provide hands on support to the wider finance team with specific purchase ledger and supplier engagement duties.Your Role and Responsibilities:While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Loading of invoices into the system, checking them and ensuring they are accurate
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve any issues and acting as a key point of contact for queries
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Processing expense claims, acting as the point of call for employees with queries
  • Generating BACS and foreign payment runs when needed
What you will need to Apply:The ideal candidate for this position will be have previous experience in accounts payable and transactional finance and be able to hit the ground running in this role. Excellent communication skills as well as a good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office would also be beneficial. The possession of an accounting qualification would be desirable but not essential.You must be happy to take a contract position and be immediately available to start to be considered for this role.What you will get in Return:The successful candidate who is selected will be rewarded with a compensatory package, including remuneration up to £28,000.
