You will be working for an independent, director-led practice that works with business owners and directors at every stage of their business lives, from start-up through to growth and consolidation and on to succession and exit strategies. They also advise clients on personal financial and tax planning issues, to help them achieve security and peace of mind, now and for the future, for themselves and their families.As a Business Services Senior, you will be working in close collaboration with the other members of the team to provide a reliable outsourced management accounting service for clients. You will complete Monthly Management accounts for clients on various systems and use Excel; review annual bookkeeping and identify issues or make suggestions on better practice; Complete new client bookkeeping set-ups, and Xero set-ups; support clients on Bookkeeping, teaching them how to correct items; Complete ad hoc messy Bookkeeping jobs; Review Bookkeeping Work completed by juniors; cash flow forecasts weekly, monthly and annually and Forecasting; Review VAT returns and reconcile Clients Trial balances and correct any issues. You could be working in the office or at clients' sites, depending on the work you are carrying out.The successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified and be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience and will need to be an experienced Xero user and able to use the software effectively and confidently. If you have worked in accountancy practice before, that would be ideal, but not essential. You will require clear written and spoken communications skills with both clients and colleagues and have strong and effective organisation skills and a methodical approach to your work. You will need to have effective prioritisation skills - able to adapt an approach to achieve multiple deadlines - and be able to work independently without close supervision.In return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package along with the flexibility to work wherever the job in hand requires you to be.
