Here at Driver Hire Southampton, we have an opportunity arise for delivery drivers. You will be working for one of our clients which specialises in delivering groceries to customers doorsteps. This client is looking for an individual willing to go the extra mile and willing to take on any challenge they may come across.
About this role:
- Work Monday to Sunday (ongoing/ ad hoc)
- Shifts vary between mornings and afternoons
- Delivering groceries to residential areas around Southampton
- 20-30 deliveries per shift
- Delivering fresh produce as well as other goods
- Driving a refrigerated 3.5T van
What we will require from you:
- Full UK driving licence with at least 12 months driving experience
- Have a good knowledge of the local area to complete deliveries on time
- Own transport to commute to and from work is essential
- Pervious multidrop experience is beneficial
- Carry out basic vehicle maintenance checks and walk arounds to ensure the vehicle is safe to drive
- Going above and beyond for customers
- Have fantastic customer service and time management skills
- Team player
- Happy with manual handling and heavy lifting
