Data Protection SpecialistLocation: Southampton - Hybrid (3 days in office)A great opportunity to join a global leader in fund administration, managing private fund capital assets in offices across the U.S., Canada, UK, and Europe.Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update global Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and monitor personal data flows.
  • Review and manage client/vendor contractual clauses for data protection and international data transfers, ensuring compliance with regulatory updates.
  • Draft and update templates, privacy statements, consent forms, data protection addenda, policies, and procedures for data governance.
  • Conduct assessments, including Legitimate Interest Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments, and Transfer Impact Assessments.
  • Support privacy-by-design due diligence for new projects and IT tools.
Requirements:ESSENTIAL
  • Must have a Law Degree; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years in privacy and data protection, preferably with a legal background.
  • Strong understanding of regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and UK GDPR.
  • Proficient using Microsoft systems.
DESIRED:
  • Certifications (e.g., IAPP) are a plus.
  •  Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
