Sonic Summary

Our client, an international Import/Export company, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their friendly team in Southampton.
The position offers a salary range of £27,000 to £29,000, along with benefits such as 23 days of annual leave, rising to 28 with service, and a pension plan.
The role requires accountability for a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely payments and managing queries with various departments.
Candidates should have experience in credit control, particularly with international and multi-currency transactions, and must be able to meet monthly collection targets.
This is an office-based role, requiring 5 days a week of work, and candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.

As a Credit Controller , you will accountability and ownership of accounts under portfolio. Ensure payments are collected as per terms provided. Manage queries internally with responsible departments. Meet and exceed monthly collection targets

Key Responsibilities of a Credit Controller:

Analysing customer’s credit ratings with credit reference agent for referral and approval of Credit Control Manager.
International and multi-currency transactions
Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments as per required terms
Maintaining contact with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment
Persistent follow-up on overdue/delinquent customers
Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding/payable invoices
Daily recording and maintenance of data pertaining to a monthly asset finance reconciliation
Posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting systems
Assume responsibility for the upkeep of the master files on the accounts receivable system
Be prepared to undertake routine/ general administrative functions, eg filing, photocopying, mailing and general maintenance of records pertinent to the Credit Control function
