Are you interested in a position in sales support? We are currently seeking a Customer Service Advisor for an outstanding company situated in central Southampton. This is an immediate opportunity for a full-time, permanent role with a reputable organisation known for its low staff turnover and commitment to internal growth. You will be joining a Customer Service team responsible for sales support and various administrative tasks.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Manage customer orders and proactively ensure that customer expectations are met by collaborating with sales and other departments to enhance the customer journey.
  • Handle inbound calls from customers with professionalism and care, utilising sales skills and excellent product knowledge to offer a range of products and services.
  • Resolve customer queries and provide exceptional service, ensuring satisfaction with every interaction.
  • Offer detailed information and quotations tailored to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor the team inbox and promptly respond to email enquiries.
  • Make follow-up calls to customers regarding their accounts to maintain strong relationships.
  • Use the CRM system to plan daily activities, maintain regular contact with customers, and identify and re-engage with non-trading customers.

The Person:

We are looking for a candidate who has prior experience in sales support, whether by directly assisting a team or by working in a sales and service capacity.

  • A confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
  • Good people skills with the ability to thrive in a busy environment
  • A proactive attitude and a passion for helping customers

Additional Information:

  • Working hours are from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday
  • The schedule follows a two-week rotation
  • The first two weeks are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, followed by two weeks from 8:30am to 5:30pm
  • Salary ranges from £28,000 to £32,000, reflecting the city centre location where local parking costs between £8 and £10 per day. Most team members commute by car and park in the area.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Contributory Pension scheme (4.5% from Employee and 4.5% from Employer)
