I am currently supporting a Global Leading Insurer to onboard a Senior Assistant Underwriter. This role will require you to head into their Southampton based office 3- 5 days a week. Paying up to £38,000 on the base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle both straightforward and complex policies, ensuring all tasks meet customer service targets.
  • Treat all customers fairly, adhering to regulatory expectations and company guidelines.
  • Greet and assist visiting customers.
  • Perform general office duties including managing correspondence, ordering supplies, and raising invoices.
  • Follow underwriting procedures and telephone scripts, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Contribute to maintaining a balanced portfolio and delivering positive outcomes for customers.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong underwriting knowledge
  • 3-5 years of underwriting experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (PRA, FCA), and the Consumer Duty rules.
