An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading manufacturing company in Totton who manufactures and installs facades and decorative exterior components for clients across a wide range of sectors. They have the full range of pre-treatment, manufacturing and powder coating facilities on site at it Southampton headquarters and are looking for someone to work in their factory in Totton as a Pre-Treatment Operator.
Main tasks - Material Pre-Treatment Section:
- Cross reference component codes on panels with job specific paperwork.
- Peeling protective film from components - ready for pre-treatment/painting.
- Loading the pre-treatment baskets with panels of all sizes.
- Process baskets through the treatment process tanks - Use of stopwatch as each tank has a specific time requirement.
- Unload panels from baskets and stack into allocated areas.
Additional duties as and when required
- Assist hanging large components on the paint conveyor line.
- Assist unloading and packing off the paint conveyor line
- Assemble top-hat stiffeners to panels using nuts and washers fitted to weld studs.
The successful applicant needs to be vigilant, reliable and able to work using own initiative. Experience in a manufacturing background would be preferred. Also the work is quite heavy so must be OK with that.
40 hours a week: Mon to Thurs 8am to 4.30pm & Fridays 7am to 3.30pm
Rate of pay 11.44 an hour
