Client Accountant - ACCA / ACA Qualified Southampton based £45,000 - £68,000 per annumAn exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced ACCA / ACA Qualified Accountant to join a modern and well established accountancy firm in Southampton. This is a growing practice which can offer a varied and challenging role with uncapped progression As a senior position, this role will supervise two junior accountants, and be very involved in client management and business advisory. On a day to day basis, you will also manage a portfolio of complex client accounts, completing year end and management accounts preparation, and all the associated tax. Benefits:

Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of complex, high net worth clients.
  • Responsible for year end and management accounts preparation and all associated tax.
  • Conduct account review meeting with clients.
  • Answer financial queries relating to year end accounts and tax planning.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Requirements:

  • Ideally you will be full ACCA / ACA qualified but nearly qualified will be considered dependent on previous experience.
  • Proven experience in a client management role within a chartered accountancy practice is essential.
  • Experience manager a diverse portfolio of accounting clients - Preparing year end accounts
  • Experience dealing directly with clients to answer financial queries and conducting review meetings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to client challenges.
