We're recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager to elevate our tax team and fuel our growth in the region. You'll manage a broad portfolio of clients-from entrepreneurial SMEs to quoted companies-offering expert UK and international tax advice, overseeing intricate compliance, and uncovering new business prospects. Collaborating with our tax partners, you'll be instrumental in fostering client trust while guiding junior colleagues to reach their potential.
Our clients include dynamic startups, established corporates, and global businesses, giving you exposure to varied industries and tax complexities like group reorganisations, R&D incentives, and property-related taxation.
Key Responsibilities
- Fostering strong client connections, identifying openings to provide added value through services like VAT, payroll, or corporate finance advice.
- Guiding UK and cross-border tax advisory efforts, preparing insights on tax-efficient frameworks, restructures, and global tax matters for partner sign-off.
- Mentoring junior team members, offering hands-on training and feedback to boost their skills.
- Handling client interactions on day-to-day and specialised tax issues via email, phone, or face-to-face, tackling corporation tax and beyond.
- Supervising compliance for complex or high-volume corporate clients, ensuring timely and precise submissions.
- Liaising with clients and third parties to secure data for tax planning and filings.
- Addressing HMRC queries swiftly and drafting required disclosures.
- Tracking project finances, managing budgets, billing, and profitability oversight.
- Playing a part in business growth through networking events and collaborative team efforts.
- Upholding firm risk protocols, safeguarding against operational and reputational risks in client dealings.
Qualifications/Education Required
- ACA, CTA, or equivalent qualification, paired with substantial corporate tax experience.
Particular Aptitudes/Skills Required
- Demonstrated client-focused expertise, comfortable with regular advisory and engagement discussions.
- Keen organisational talent to prioritise tasks and hit deadlines effectively.
- Independent drive, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
