You'll be looking to make a tangible impact in a growing, dynamic company.What will the Finance Manager role involve?Growth and Development: As they introduce FP&A and business partnering initiatives, you will have the chance to evolve the role and contribute strategically to the company's success.Dynamic Industry: As a market leading Manufacturer/Distributor, you'll work within sectors such as aerospace and defence, ensuring your skills remain at the cutting edge of industry developments.Varied Role: This is a broad role, and will need someone to be comfortable with operating on both financial accounting and technical matters, as well as supporting with commercial and operational finance.Stability and Opportunity: The EU business has demonstrated consistent year-on-year growth, maintaining profitability and offering significant career progression.Fantastic Culture: Our recruitment agency, CMA, has placed the majority of our finance team, and all report back positively on the company's culture and the tremendous growth potential they experience here for those that want it.Team Management: leading a small team consisting of two management accountants and an accounts assistant, whilst also managing relationships with our accounting and tax advisors in each of our European bases, along with Finance staff at the Corporate HQ in the USA.Collaboration: Business partner and trusted advisor to the European team, along with Global managers and DirectorsKey Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of FP&A processes.
  • Engaging in business partnering to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of our financial practices in line with their growth trajectory.
  • Maintain the Company's international operations financial books and records
  • Lead a small team of management accountants, and maintain relationships with accounting and taxation advisors
  • Oversee month-end closing process including to include journal entry and financial statement review (some hands on work may be required during the close process with specific journals and reports)
  • Manage and review general ledger account analysis including bank reconciliations
  • Coordinate/facilitate the annual financial audit with the Company's external auditors, including the preparation of year-end schedules for all international operations and the audit of international legal entities
  • Analyse and interpret financial data versus budget and prior year results and report to management with detailed narrative to aid decision making
  • Create reporting as required to support all queries on financial data

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:

  • Must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Experience performing and managing all aspects of month end closing process, general ledger analysis, tax and cash management functions.
  • Experience in distribution and/or manufacturing/ engineering environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with international financial transactions and operational sites / legal entities.
  • Experience in multiple countries, multiple cultures, multiple operations.
  • Effective communications skills, leadership skills and analytical skills required.
