Role Description
Join Our Team as a PBS and BSL Support Worker - Drivers Only

Location:Hampshire, home location TBC
Salary:£12.50 per hour (£24,375 pro-rata) plus benefits.
Hours:37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (on a shift rota basis, this includes every other weekend). As part of this role you will be required to travel to Manchester to assist the transition of the person we support. Mileage and overnight stays will be reimbursed via expenses.
Contract:Full-time, Permanent.
Driving Requirement:A valid full UK driving license is essential.
Right to Work:Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any skilled worker visas.

As a PBS and BSL Support Worker, you'll be more than just their support you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Daily Care & Support:Helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
  • Building Relationships:Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
  • Empowering Independence:Assisting with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.
  • Social Engagement:Supporting activities like holidays, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone could enjoy what they love doing.
  • Respect & Dignity:Ensuring that the people we support, and their families are treated respectfully, with dignity, and equality.

Hello,I'm shortly going to be living in my own home in Southampton, supported by SeeAbility. Experience of supporting someone like me, a man with autism is essential. I am also deaf, so I use BSL to communicate, and you will too!
I am looking for patient, positive, friendly, and happy individuals to join my team of support workers. You need to support me to lead the life I want and to encourage me to be gradually more and more skilled and confident. I love to interact with people, and I have a curious personality. I really enjoy doing things that most young men like to do like kick a football go for walks, eat out etc. I also like tabletop activities ranging from puzzles to art. I can be very playful too, so you have to keep up with me.
