Port & Logistics Coordinator – Cruise

Working in partnership with SDW Recruitment, their client, a well-established & successful family-owned freight forwarder in Totton, Southampton is looking to recruit a Port & Logistics Coordinator to join their expanding team.

Do you have a passion for all things shipping & maritime? Perhaps you work in the Port? Maybe you are currently working as a freight forwarder, but looking to be more hands on in the shipping sector and not just office based?

Then this could be perfect for you.

The Role:

You will be responsible for coordinating Cruise Logistics functions both nationally and internationally, ensuring goods are moved to and from the port of call in a timely manner and with some under very strict deadlines, ensuring they are also fully compliant with all HMRC regulations.

Management of marine logistics worldwide, by air, road or sea including booking and co-ordinating shipments, updating systems, dealing with shipping paperwork and ensuring customer satisfaction.

A key part of the role will be physically attending vessel calls in most Southern ports, this will include weekend work and unsociable hours especially during the peak summer cruise season.

Driving licence, a must.

  • Working as part of your immediate team and with other internal and external stakeholders
