An exciting opportunity for a qualified Art Teacher to join a wonderful team at an educational and care facility for vulnerable children based in Southampton.

Job Purpose - To be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has students who achieve well.

Candidate - Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent e.g., QTLS ,Degree or equivalent e.g., Cert Ed. Knowledge and understanding of working within a SEN environment aswell as:

  • A Solid understanding of Classroom activities.
  • A working knowledge of current teaching practices.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
