Office based role (Southampton).

Basic Annual Salary Range: £28,000 to £36,000.

Job Overview:

The IT Support Manager role at our organisation requires a skilled individual to oversee and manage the company’s on-site IT hardware and software. This position involves ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing technical support to employees and liaising with third party suppliers.

You will not be running or managing a team, you will be working on-site in a lone role reporting to the senior management team.

You need to be able to work on your own initiative with different department stakeholders, working under pressure, prioritising workloads, and able to see the big picture.

Duties:

  • Troubleshoot software issues and provide technical assistance.
  • Analyse and resolve hardware and software IT problems efficiently.
  • Work with third parties to resolve and improve IT systems and processes.
  • Remedy systems for issue tracking and resolution.
  • Oversee computer hardware maintenance and upgrades.
  • Working in a busy food production warehouse and distribution centre.
  • The company use ERP Providers when needed, Sage 200 for accounts, intuitive software through Nouvem, and Enterprise integration platforms through Boomi.
  • Always assessing new technological solutions to help the business progress.

Experience:

  • Worked with third party contracted IT support services.
  • Liaised with software providers.
  • Supported and performed maintenance of onsite software and hardware.
  • Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with attention to detail.
  • Allocated and managed staff access to software and permissions.
  • Managed roll-out and on-going training for new ERP system functionality.
  • Able to learn and understand new software packages.
  • Worked projects through to completion.
  • Experience taking ownership of other generic IT requirements.
  • Must be eligible to work a full-time permanent role in the UK.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written).
  • Own transport is essential due to rural location and no public transport links.
  • Must live in the Hamshire area, no visa sponsorship available.
