Your new roleAre you passionate about technology and eager to make a significant impact? We are looking for a talented Systems Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role is based in their Southampton office.As a Systems Implementation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing one of their core systems, ViewPoint. Your work will enable their team to expand their service offerings across the Group, ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations.In your day-to-day operations, you will interpret accounting and administration requirements to design and implement system solutions that meet client demands. You will handle complex service requests and incidents via our support desk (Ivanti) or through project enhancements, keeping client teams informed of progress. Monitoring and reviewing service delivery, you will ensure timely updates to client teams. Reviewing work from junior team members and peers will be essential to maintain quality and consistency. You will conduct system integration testing and reconciliation activities, providing relevant evidence and documentation. Documenting system and process changes, creating training materials, and designing test cases to support changes will be part of your responsibilities. Effective communication with team members and client-facing teams, both verbally and in writing, will be crucial to gather and explain requirements and provide resolutions. You will consider scalable solutions and maintain core configurations with continuous group improvements. Identifying development needs for junior team members and working with their line manager to agree on a training plan will also be part of your role.In project work, you will support the development, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and defect resolutions in collaboration with business leads, technical leads, and project managers. Managing the end-to-end process of projects, from gathering and documenting requirements to developing solutions, testing, deployment, and creating user guides, will be essential. Gathering requirements for reports and working with the reporting and data team, contractors, or independently to develop reports, aiming for group-wide solutions that can be rolled out to multiple clients, will be part of your responsibilities. Collaborating with various departments to deliver solutions that benefit the business and meet group needs will be crucial.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous working experience with ViewPoint
  • Strong technical financial services industry knowledge
  • Advanced PC skills notably MS Office suite (MS Word and MS Excel) as well as a familiarity with programming languages such as Transact-SQL and Visual Studio
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts
  • General problem solving and methodical approach
  • Genuine interest in technology and systems
  • Strong A Level or Degree qualification
