Job Description:
Do you have Import Airfreight , Sea-freight & Import Road freight experience or even multi-modal experience.
Maybe you are currently working for a shipping line or a freight forwarder but looking to move to a smaller company and can have a real impact and grow your career within the company as it grows. You would be appreciated for your hard work and commitment and duly rewarded.
As an experienced Forwarder, with a minimum of 5 years experience, you would hit the ground running and join an excellent team that is further building upon the original foundations and help us manage the exponential growth, we are experiencing.
The Role:
-Managing the whole shipping process from start to finish
-Quoting clients
-Booking shipments using our in-house freight forwarding software
-Arranging documentation and ensuring Customs formalities are adhered too
-Following shipments to ensure goods are delivered safely and on-time
-Focus on maximum customer satisfaction
-Administrative tasks in Operations
-Issue sales invoices and process purchase invoices
You will be actively involved in all imports by Air Freight, Sea Freight, Road Freight and courier Freight both in the UK, Europe and Internationally. Training on Export / Import Road and Courier will be offered to the right candidate.
This is truly an interesting and sometimes challenging role where no two days are the same. We are a small close team looking to grow the business, having the right candidate to help push us forward.
Essential Criteria
-Knowledge of Imports by Sea, Air a must but training will be given for Import Road & courier freight shipments
-Minimum of 5 years experience in forwarding
-Confident in Communication
-Positive Personality
-Must be able to work well under pressure
-Multi-tasking a must
-Be prepared to work additional hours as and when the job requires
-Must have experience of dealing with overseas freight partners, globally
Working hours, 9-5pm with an hours unpaid lunch.
