Key responsibilities:
• Lead, inspire, and empower your depot team.
• Oversee and improve the operational performance of the Diesel Locomotive Fleet and wagon maintenance.
• Drive process improvements to ensure operational efficiency.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and safety.
• Achieve depot success through strong leadership and by setting high standards.
Candidate Essentials:
• Proven experience in a production or maintenance role within heavy engineering, with a strong understanding of operational processes.
• Demonstrated experience in a management position overseeing multiple direct reports, with a focus on leadership, team development, and performance management.
• Experience in identifying opportunities for process improvement, developing innovative solutions, and successfully implementing changes to drive operational efficiency and productivity.
Desirable:
• Experience within the rail freight or similar heavy transport industries.
• A background in continuous improvement processes.
