We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facility Investment Energy Project Lead to join our client in the Aerospace Manufacturing domain, on a permanent basis out of their site in the Southampton area.
You'll reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering, NPI & Business Improvement, you will provide dedicated project management support to drive multiple business objectives and spearhead improvements across culture, policy, and procedural changes. This role focuses on ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental standards while delivering cost-effective project management solutions.
You will manage diverse projects, including energy utilization, facility improvements, safety initiatives, asset acquisition, and business changes, working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to achieve results.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Promote and ensure a safe workplace environment that minimizes risks to health and the environment.
- Time Management: Accurately clock time and attendance while maintaining job costing records.
- Housekeeping: Maintain clean and organized workspaces, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly.
- Quality Standards: Adhere to all quality processes and procedures while minimizing waste.
- Cost Management: Support cost reduction initiatives by reducing unnecessary expenditure.
- Knowledge & Skills: Stay up-to-date with necessary training and maintain qualifications, such as Approved Operator stamps.
- Teamwork: Actively participate in team meetings, share knowledge, and mentor trainees.
Role-Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans to deliver allocated objectives, including cost-benefit analysis of initiatives.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget project execution, maintaining strong financial control and reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor and report on utility usage and costs, driving reductions in line with environmental and legal requirements.
- Act as a liaison between internal functions, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Govern and maintain business schematics, CAD models, and site plans.
- Ensure effective review and management of permits, RAMS, and related documents.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for project management.
- Explore innovative technologies and methodologies for process improvements.
- Oversee capital expenditure requests and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead external grant funding applications and maintain accurate records.
- Support and lead Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) projects.
