Blaymires Recruitment is representing a respected main contractor based near Fareham who is searching for a Site Manager to join the business.

The company has been operating for over a decade and have established themselves as a leading southern based contractor who have delivered a variety of new build and refurbishment projects across the public and private sectors.

The company is searching for a Site Manager who is looking for a long term position to grow with the business. Your first project will be starting at the beginning of February, and you will manage a new build, 18 bedroom Care Home in Theale, Reading project value of £3.2M.

Responsibilities of the Site Manager:

  • Ensure the efficient running of the projects you are responsible for by effectively managing labour and internal resources with the support of the Contracts Manager.
  • Develop, implement and embed processes and procedures to contribute to the success of the business.
  • Ensure that contracts are within full compliance of health and safety and environmental legislation.
  • Ensure that quality is at the forefront of our operations.
  • Monitor progress against the works programme and agreed specification and manage the impact of additional work or delays.
  • Ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources on the contract and any subsequent recovery.
  • Manage the on-site aspects and influences on expenditure against allowances.
  • Ensure approval has been sought for any or all variations to the contracts as a whole and with sub-contractors.
  • Set targets and programmes in line with the overall requirements of the project for materials and resources.

Requirements of the Site Manager:

  • You will have refurbishment or new build experience.
  • You will have managed projects from inception through to handover.
  • Site qualifications including CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid Ticket.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
