A specialist electro mechanical manufacturing company located in Southampton are currently recruiting for an R&D Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Working within a complex multi-faceted Engineering Division the R&D Engineer will work on research and development projects to both design and develop new products, and to technically support the existing product range.
Other responsibilities include:
- Playing a key role in the development of new products
- Design / Development of critical components / systems as part of a new product range
- Working closely with other departments to ensure development projects are delivered
- Liaising directly with customers on prototype products where boundaries can be pushed to maximise technology / efficiency and performance.
In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven experience in an R&D Engineer and be able to demonstrate experience / knowledge of HVAC / Air movement and critically refrigeration technology. You will also have proven ability using an Mechanical CAD package such as SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Inventor or AutoCAD etc. It would be advantageous to be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject.
