Position: Ocean Export Freight Forwarder
Location: Southampton
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 17:30pm
Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holiday, Contractual sick pay, hybrid working, health insurance.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced shipping/freight forwarding professional to join a well-established, niche logistics provider specialising in bespoke global transport services.
We are looking to speak with candidates who have a proven career history working in the freight forwarding or marine industry with experience in ocean exports or shipping operations specialising in Break Bulk, OOG (Out Of Gauge) and Project Cargo. Experience using Cargowise system is also an essential requirement.
Experience working in shipping or freight forwarding is essential.
Candidates must have a good understanding of working with ocean exports from door to door, out-of-gauge/project cargo, ideally within the freight or marine industry plus ideally working with loadmasters and various port authorities, handling all shipping documentation such as BOLS (Bills of Lading), and completing all Customs documentation ready for clearances.
Candidates must be commercially minded and have good problem-solving skills, excellent customer service skills & the ability to work under pressure.
