Laboratory Administrator needed at a busy ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory in Hampshire, with experience working in a busy lab and office environment

SRG are working with an ever-expanding family run business that are experiencing exciting growth and eager to find a Laboratory Administrator to join their small team in Hampshire. You need to have worked in a similar environment previously and be able to hit the ground running - assisting the Laboratory Manager in the implementation, running and management of the workflow systems. You must be adaptable and be a team player - willing to be proactive and help with anything that may need doing at any given time, supporting the technical team with anything they may need.

Additional details: 20 days holiday (increasing with length of service), 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (must have some flexibility with start/ finish times).

Role/Description

  • Sample receipt and booking in of samples in compliance with correct internal procedures
  • Preparation and sending of lab reports following the correct procedure
  • Support timely calibration of equipment when scheduled to be completed
  • Maintenance of COSSH Assessments
  • Monitoring of laboratory correspondence
  • Handle lab enquiries
  • Carry out any lab admin tasks that may arise as and when required - proactively seeking any issues or tasks that need resolving or taking care of

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a busy lab and office environment is essential
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently
  • Be a team player - willingness to support the team as and where necessary
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with the team and with customers
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficiency in using MS Office
  • Must have ability to attend an onsite interview
