Overview:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a vibrant school in Southampton. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start. The successful candidate will inspire students across various year groups, fostering a love of music and helping them develop their skills and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students across KS1-KS4
  • Teach a variety of musical disciplines, including theory, instruments, and performance
  • Prepare students for school concerts, performances, and exams
  • Support the development of students' musical abilities, encouraging creativity and self-expression
  • Organize and lead extra-curricular music clubs and activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into broader curriculum topics
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching music at primary or secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach a range of musical genres and instruments
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, creative, and able to inspire a love of music
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Immediate availability to start
