Your new roleReporting to an experienced and supportive Head of HR, this role will provide high quality and commercial HR business partnering to senior and business leaders in the organisation to ensure successful delivery of strategic people outcomes as well as providing coaching, support and challenging to managers on all parts of the employee lifecycle, including complex employee relations issues, talent and succession planning, learning and development, organisational design and reward reviews.
- Support Managers on all ER issues and caseload
- Provide HR support in a number of areas including TUPE, employee development, employee engagement, recruitment, reward, workforce planning and performance management
- Make decisions that fit within the company ethos: legal, process, procedural and policy
- Coach and advise managers to ensure contract delivery objectives are met
- Develop and maintain trusting and effective partnerships with all onsite managers, challenging their thinking and working closely with them to co-develop solutions to meet their current and future business needs
- Diagnose and analyse people issues, providing objective challenges and engaging the appropriate methods to ensure resolution
- Work on HR projects for the wider business as required
- Undertake frequent travel as required when necessary to various UK sites
Working hours are 40 / week: 8.30am-5pm, Monday-Friday. This is a remote role with frequent travel to UK sites in the North and the Midlands, to the South East and South West. Your average week will see you WFH 3 days vs 2 days visiting sites. What you'll need to succeedThis role requires a highly professional person with an analytical approach to HR, who has the ability to build long-term relationships and positively influence managers and colleagues across multiple UK sites. A resilient individual with a proactive, "can do" attitude is important, as is a CIPD qualification (Level 5) minimum with experience in a multi-site HR or People Advisor / BP role. You must have demonstrable experience managing complex ER casework to support and advise managers up to and including ACAS conciliation and tribunal claims. Some understanding of TUPE processes is required too.
