We are seeking a Reward Professional to join a strategic transformation project to review and develop a reward offering ensuring it aligns with organisational need and enhances the ability to attract, retain and motivate employees. This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering a competitive, equitable, and forward-thinking reward strategy that supports workforce engagement and performance.Key tasks

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive reward strategy that supports the workforce objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Lead on the transformation of the reward offering, ensuring it remains competitive and fit for purpose.
  • Oversee the approach to equal pay, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Provide expert advice on recruitment and retention payments, ensuring they are strategically aligned and effectively managed
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying future pay and benefits trends, leading and influencing the development of a reward and recognition policy and strategy
  • Review and implement policies and processes related to professional registrations and associated payments.
  • Work with HR colleagues and key stakeholders to ensure reward practices support recruitment, retention, and motivation of staff.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to inform the development of competitive reward initiatives
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with trade unions, ensuring engagement and collaboration in shaping reward strategies.
  • Support job evaluation processes and ensure fairness and consistency in pay structures
  • Monitor the effectiveness of reward initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to HR teams and managers on reward-related matters.

CandidatesWere seeking an experienced Reward Professional, Reward Business Partner, Reward Manager who has the capability to drive innovation in reward practices, leading on initiatives such as equal pay, recruitment and retention payments, professional registration requirements, and general reward strategy. They will work collaboratively with stakeholders to embed a reward framework that is fair, competitive, and sustainable, positioning them as an employer of choice.

  • Proven experience in a reward-focused role, ideally within a large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading on reward transformation or turnaround projects.
  • Strong understanding of equal pay legislation, job evaluation, and pay structures.
  • Experience in designing and implementing recruitment and retention payments.
  • Knowledge of professional registration payments and their role in workforce planning.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative reward solutions
  • Proven experience in cross sector use of benchmarking, market data and salary
