Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs? A unique and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a SEMH Primary Teacher to join a school in Southampton, starting January 2024.

As an SEMH Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic progress.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to each child's development.
  • Use creative strategies to inspire and motivate children, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Monitor and assess progress, maintaining detailed and effective records.
Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs or similar challenges.
  • A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and strategies for managing challenging behavior.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
