As an SEMH Primary Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to each child's development.
- Use creative strategies to inspire and motivate children, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Monitor and assess progress, maintaining detailed and effective records.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs or similar challenges.
- A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and strategies for managing challenging behavior.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
