Job Description:

Belcan Workforce Solutions is excited to present an opportunity with a multinational oil and gas corporation. We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Procurement and Logistics Support Assistant. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of procurement functions, logistics, and materials management.

Key Responsibilities of the Procurement and Logistics Support Assistant:

  • Raise Requisitions: Efficiently manage and process requisitions using CDMS and Excel.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee the logistics of materials, ensuring timely delivery and accurate tracking.
  • Materials Management: Maintain and update records of materials, ensuring availability and proper storage.
  • Communication: Actively engage with suppliers and internal teams, making phone calls to chase and follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Policing and Follow-Up: Ensure all tasks are closed off and followed up, maintaining a structured and organised approach.
  • Support Role: Provide general support to the procurement and payables functions, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Motivation and Drive: Demonstrate a proactive and energetic approach to tasks.
  • Unflappable: Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.
  • Structured: Exhibit strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CDMS and Excel: Desirable but not essential for managing requisitions and logistics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Customer Service Experience: Provide exceptional support and service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Numeracy: Capable of computing figures for upload to various systems.
  • Adaptability: Quick learner, able to customise processes as necessary.

Additional Requirements:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the business team to produce Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint Surveys, SAP reports, and handle internal systems and mail merges.
