We are currently working with a leading main contractor who specialise in cladding remediation projects within the residential sector. They have secured a number projects and are projecting a huge growth in this for Q4 and going into Q1 2025. They are now looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their Surveyors and Commercial Managers on projects near Southampton.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within their Cladding team you will be responsible for:

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Participate in the tendering process, including preparation and submission of proposals.
  • Conduct site visits to assess construction progress and costs.
  • Support senior surveyors in preparing interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Help in managing and tracking project expenditure to ensure financial control.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to achieve project goals.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to costs and project progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
