Blaymires Recruitment is representing an established building contractor based near Fareham, Hampshire, seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager to join their team.
The company has a long-standing reputation for delivering insurance, refurbishment, and new build projects for the MoD, residential, and commercial sectors, with project values ranging from £100K to £5M.
The Role
- You will be responsible for pricing tenders, managing project costs, and overseeing projects through to handover.
- This role requires a flexible individual who can carry out Quantity Surveying duties, including placing sub-contract orders, managing payments, handling variations, and finalising accounts.
- In the Contracts Manager aspect of the role, you will liaise with clients, plan and program projects, allocate resources, and ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.
- The company is entering a sustained period of growth and will consider either an ambitious Estimator or Quantity Surveyor looking to expand into project delivery or an experienced Contracts Manager with cost management expertise.
The Person
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Project Manager, or Contracts Manager.
- Strong understanding of building regulations.
- Experience in refurbishment and new build projects.
- HNC or Degree qualified.
- Knowledge and experience of JCT form of contracts.
