JOB – Sales Engineer    LOCATION – Southampton TERM- PermanentSALARY - £30,000-£40,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client designs and manufactures specialist solutions for Engineering. They are looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team in the Southampton area on a permanent basis.      The Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Ideally be experienced in Technical Sales, with knowledge of quotations, technical specifications and orders
  • Strong understanding of Construction / Engineering Projects and 
  • Ideally have knowledge of pipes, valves, pumps, etc. 
  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Engineering or similar
  • Be keen to develop as part of an organisation long term
  • Good time management skills
  • Be self-motivated and driven
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office – any CRM database knowledge would be a plus
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Sales Engineer role will involve:
  • Working directly with customers to understand their requirements and produce quotations and orders
  • Understanding the technical side of how their products are designed and built 
  • Being involved in processing and progressing sales
  • Reacting to inquiries 
  • Investigating and resolving sales enquiries from both customers and distributors
  • Offering a proactive Account Management approach for Distributors and updating customers at regular stages
  • Liaising with different departments and colleagues as required  
  • Having the opportunity to grow with the company long term
