Full-Time Cover Supervisor – Southampton Secondary School
Start Date: ASAP – Contract Until July 2025
Pay: £100 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to manage classrooms during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set. You will be required to supervise students across a range of subjects and year groups, while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain experience in education or considering a career in teaching. The school offers training and support to help you succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring work is completed.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Provide support to students, helping them remain on task and engaged in the work provided.
- Adapt to different subject areas and year groups as needed.
- Maintain high standards of student behaviour and contribute to the overall ethos of the school.

Requirements:
- Degree qualified (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable, but not essential.
