About the role:

The Activities Assistant is an important role within the student Activities Team. The role will provide accurate and consistent administrative support to the Activities Team and the 300+ clubs and societies, committees and volunteers that the team supports. The role will be the initial contact for our clubs, societies and student volunteers, triaging or responding to email, Teams or in-person queries, and will focus on providing an excellent customer service and enquiries resolution.

This role will also support colleagues in the Activities Team in ensuring our admin processes and systems are running smoothly meaning our communication is top notch. It will also assist the wider Activities Team in delivering a range of its student-focused activities, training and events (such as Clubs & Societies Freshers' Fair, Varsity, Raise & Given fundraising).

About You:

It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of task administration, with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to working as an integral part of the team. You would be excellent at organising and prioritising tasks to ensure their completion to a high standard in timely fashion.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and interact with students and colleagues, approaching situations with professionalism and sensitivity.

You will have a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite as well as be eager and able to learn new digital systems and tools.

You will also be committed to and have passion for the student experiences and the values and vision of the organisation.
