Autism Specialist Support Assistant - Totton

At Engage, we know that a school runs on quality support staff. We’ve spent over a decade building strong relationships with schools in Totton, and we’re now looking to recruit for one of our SEND schools. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lovely school who are currently recruiting!

The right canddate will need to provide educational and personal support to young people, aged 4 to 11 with a diagnosis of autism, and who have a range of complex learning needs, communication and sensory difficulties.

They are looking for proactive and passionate support assistants who are keen to interact with students. This role would be suitable for trainees and Graduates, who are eager to pursue a career within Special Education. Psychology Graduates are always really highly looked upon for this role, so anyone with a psychology degree or background are strongly encouraged to apply!

It is not essential to have school based experience, as training can be provided. However, having some experience with Autism (either personally or professionally) would be preferable!

  • Earn up to £550 per week

  • Small group work and intervention support responsibilities

  • 1:1 support for special needs and lower ability pupils
