An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant educational setting in Southampton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting teaching and learning, and who thrives in a dynamic school environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pre-prepared educational activities are delivered.
- Maintain the continuity of learning for students and manage classroom behaviour as necessary.
- Interact with students, responding to their educational and pastoral needs.
- Ensure the resources required for the lesson are available and that the classroom is well-organised.
- Collect completed work after the lesson and pass it to the appropriate teacher.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote focus and discipline.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students.
- A commitment to supporting students in their educational journey.
- Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
