We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Temporary Stores Person / Warehouse Operative at our client’s new facility in Southampton. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in warehouse or stores, and an interest or experience within a boat building environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage inventory and ensure accurate stock tracking.
  • Assist on the shop floor and with the storeroom setup.
  • Operate forklift trucks (FLT) around the shop floor to manage materials and products efficiently.
  • Receive goods and monitor stock levels of shop floor provisions.
  • Perform general yard upkeep and maintenance.
  • Assist the Stores Manager with additional duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in a similar role - warehousing / stores / boats/marine
  • Proficiency in managing inventory and operating forklift trucks.
  • Basic IT skills for managing inventory systems.
  • Forklift license is essential.
  • Handyman skills for general maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools.
