TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a fantastic primary school in Westcliff-on-Sea, seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support their teaching staff for the remainder of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working across all age groups, providing valuable support in the classroom while ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students across all year groups (Reception to Year 6) in the absence of their usual teacher. Your role will involve ensuring students stay on task, following lesson plans, and using strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused and respectful environment.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

Previous experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a cover supervisor or similar role.
Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to maintain control and keep students engaged.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
A passion for supporting students’ learning and development.
