Head of Prevention & Move On - Homelessness Charity
A leading homelessness charity based in Essex (in commuting distance from Romford, Brentwood, Chelmsford and Dartford) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Prevention & Move On to lead their strategic homelessness prevention and resettlement services. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing innovative, client-focused solutions that prevent homelessness and support individuals in securing long-term housing stability.

Benefits:

  • Salary banding: £45,500 - £50,500pa DOE
  • Hours of work 37hrs - 9am -5pm

About the Job:

  • Lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of prevention and move-on services across multiple sites.
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge interventions to prevent homelessness and promote successful resettlement.
  • Manage a team of managers and coordinators, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective service delivery.
  • Build partnerships with local authorities, housing providers, and health services to enhance collaboration and joint service solutions.
  • Oversee budgets, financial forecasting, and safeguarding, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

About You: 

  • Proven experience in a senior management role within homelessness, social care, or a related field.
  • Track record of driving service innovation and working with complex budgets.
  • Strong leadership and partnership-building skills, with a commitment to psychologically informed practices and safeguarding.
