Are you an experienced engineer looking for a new challenge? Our client, a dynamic facility in Southend-on-Sea, is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to join their team. As the Assistant Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in advancing component repair, ensuring technical facilities and capabilities meet current commitments and new customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Work across various trades to ensure the smooth completion of production tasks.
  • Provide guidance for new repair processes, resolving existing production difficulties.
  • Ensure best practises are implemented across repair facilities.
  • Assist in scheduling remedial works and liaise with contractors for site and building upkeep.
  • Perform any other tasks within your capabilities as requested by the organisation.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Several years of hands-on engineering experience within a repair facility.
  • Hold appropriate component repair approvals.
  • Experience in project management with strong communication, teamwork, self-initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong awareness of QA requirements within component repair.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence
