The Role: Trainee Studio Operator - Southend Based

One to One Personnel’s exclusive client is currently looking for a trainee to join their busy Studio Team. Training across the digital print, finishing and mailing departments will be given prior to starting your training in the Studio.

You will need to be reliable, personable, and punctual with the ability to take instruction and work under pressure. You will also need good communication and learning skills to develop your knowledge in the vibrant work environment. Good IT skills are essential for this role and a genuine interest in technology advantageous. This is an excellent time for a new person to join this forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities

  • To learn printing and finishing process from existing staff members to then move on to understand the requirements of the Studio and prepress department.
  • To build knowledge of key software used including Adobe Creative Cloud, Kodak Prinergy pre-press workflow, OL Connect variable data and, in the future, Market Direct Crossmedia.
  • To understand the quality control, environmental and data security requirements of the business and how that affects your role.
  • To accurately read and understand jobsheet instructions.
  • To understand customer requirements to ensure that the final product meets their expectations.
  • To carry out any other work as directed by the supervisors and management.
  • To comply with the Company’s quality procedures, health and safety and security procedures
  • Receive and attend training courses as required
  • Work in an organised manner and in a tidy environment

The Package

  • Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00
  • Salary £22,308 (£11.44 per hour). Overtime paid at time and half Mon-Sat and double time Sunday
  • Holiday in the first year will be 20 days pro-rata and 25 days annual leave after first full year
  • Company uniform provided
